As the Head of Partnerships for Loop, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and adoption of Loop’s global banking solution. Your task will be to identify opportunities to develop partnerships with other organizations that service Loop’s target customer segment in order to help us grow our business, expand our network, and enhance our customer experience. In this position, you will have the freedom to develop innovative partnership ideas – they can be with influencers, affiliates, agencies, service providers, marketplaces, payment providers or others

You will need to be involved in both the high level strategy for building our partnership strategy while also managing the implementation. For partnerships that have been developed, you will be the primary point of contact for Loop’s partners and be expected to handle day-to-day partner support. You will regularly engage with partners to ensure the ongoing success of the partnership. You’ll also need to help create documentation, processes, guides, articles & other resources to help with the day-to-day management of active partnership programs

Over time, you’ll find yourself spending roughly 60% of your time working to develop new partnerships & 40% working on initiatives that nurture existing partner relationships. You will also be tasked to test and iterate other growth strategies to help Loop find new customers

You’ll closely work with our operations and customer success teams to ensure new and existing customers have a world class experience with Loop.

Responsibilities

You will have a wide range of responsibilities in this role and will be expected to be comfortable tackling the unknown. You will need to make decisions quickly, explain concepts clearly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include

  • Source and negotiate partnerships capable of acquiring new customers for Loop’s payments, cards and FX products
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that are mutually beneficial and sustainable
  • Design go-to-market plans for new partnership opportunities
  • Interface with other team members to ensure that all partner launches are successful
  • Own key KPIs related to the partnerships channel including leads generated, conversion, retention, CAC and more
  • Act as the partner account manager with the goal of managing and retaining existing partnerships.
  • Gather feedback from prospective and existing partners on how Loop can improve our partnership channel and work cross-departmentally to move initiatives forward with sales, product, and operations

  • Create a list of prospective partners who we should reach out to.
  • Reach out to prospective partners and introduce them to Loop
  • Close (or be near closing) 3 offer partners and 1 strategic partnership for Loop!

Ideal Candidates

The following will make you an ideal candidate for this position:

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset with high passion to make an impact and push Loop to the next level.
  • You have experience closing deals: negotiating, reviewing contracts, and getting started.
  • 3+ years experience working in a partnership-related business development role
  • Exceptionally clear and precise communication skills
  • Ability to put together pitch decks and other sales materials
  • You enjoy pushing things forward under pressure and have the tenacity to manage a large workload
  • Experience in Finance and/or Technology industry preferred
